STUDY OF ANTS BEHAVIOUR WITH INFORMATION SCIENCE

In this research theme we plan to setup a high video recording system in order to detect and follow ants in a confined area. The movies taken with the setup will be analyzed by a movement tracking software that we are currently developing. Once an ant movement is taken and transformed in numbers, will be analyzed mathematically. We want to determine if and how information is transmitted, if ants movements and patterns contain something definable as a language.
